Bio

Duncan Lillie Bsc is a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has over 40 years’ experience and is recognised as one of the country’s leading consultants to the UK Leisure Property Sector. He has been instrumental in establishing restaurants as a specialist property sector. He was one of the first to establish a dedicated team dealing with restaurants along with pubs, nightclubs, cinemas, casinos and theatres.

Often referred to by clients as a trusted advisor Duncan has a talent for unravelling complex cases which he translates into practical terms on how it can affect the client. He is a respected rent review and lease renewal specialist and has been instrumental in formulating some of the valuation practices currently prevalent in the sector most recently on rooftop restaurants.

Duncan acts as an Arbitrator and Independent Expert. He also assesses and reassesses Arbitrators and Independent Experts on behalf of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Duncan acts as an Independent Assessor under the Pub Codes etc Regulations 2016.

Duncan is a founder member and past Chairman of the Restaurant Property Advisors Society, a member of the Entertainment Leisure Forum, Arbrix and Index.

Married to Stefanie they have 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Duncan enjoys going to the gym, watching rugby, taking long walks and entertaining the grandchildren. He is a National Trust Volunteer and has an active role in local community events.
